Q: What are your check-in and check-out times?
A: Check-in is 2:00 pm and check-out is 12 noon.
Q: What are the quiet hours?
A: We ask that our campers observe quiet hours from 11:00 pm until 7:00 am. This doesn’t mean you have to tiptoe around or whisper, but it does mean that you shouldn’t run your generator, play loud music or let the fun you’re having with friends go on past 11:00. Your neighbors will appreciate you!
Q: Can we bring firewood into the park?
It is against the law to move firewood from other states into our campground. Transporting firewood even between counties within Ohio is discouraged because it spreads pests, which damage our trees. You may purchase firewood at the store and we will deliver it to your site along with a fire starter
Q: Where should we go in the event of a weather emergency?
A: The bathhouse is the location designated for your safety in case of dangerous weather.
Q: Are there laundry facilities at Stony Ridge KOA?
A: Yes, the laundry is open 24 hours a day. You may enter from the deck at the rear of the store after hours. Should you need quarters or laundry soap, they will be available in the store during normal operating hours.
Q: Is cable available at the campground?
A: Yes, all full hook-up sites have cable at no extra charge.
Q: Do you have WiFi?
A: Yes, all sites have access to the internet.
Q: Will my cell phone work at your location?
A: Yes, cell service is good throughout the park.
- Can the kids ride bikes in the park?
- Yes, we allow bicycling on our roadways. We strongly recommend that all bicyclists wear helmets.
FAQ ABOUT RESERVATIONS
Q: Do reservations have to be made in advance?
A: No, Stony Ridge is happy to welcome walk-ins. However, be aware that there may not be an available site that will meet your needs.
Q: Can we put a tent up on our campsite or cabin?
A: As long as the small tent fits on the campsite, there is no extra charge. However, we only allow one camping unit per campsite. A tent that holds a second family is not allowed. Another family requires the purchase of their own site.
Q: Why am I being charged for my stay before I have arrived?
A: To guarantee your campsite, a deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time you make your reservation. The deposit amount charged will be equivalent to one night’s stay. In some cases, especially on holidays or special event weekends, you may be charged the full amount of your stay to reserve your site.
Q: What is KOA’s cancellation policy?
A: KOA’s national cancellation guideline:
If you need to cancel your reservation, you must call the office before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations are not acceptable. Not calling to cancel/no show will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.
RV & Tent Sites: 48 hours cancellation notice is required. Notify the office by 4 p.m. two days before your scheduled arrival.
Camping Cabins: 7 days cancellation notice is required. Please notify the office one week before your scheduled arrival.
Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits. Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits.
Holidays and special events may have special deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Please check with the office for clarification.
Q: What if I am arriving after the office is closed. How do I check in or rent a campsite?
A: If you will be arriving after the office is closed, stop at the well-lit “Late Check In” box located on the side of the office building.
- If you already have a reservation: Look in the box and you will find a site map with your name and site number on it. The best route for you is indicated on the map. Come to the office in the morning to complete your registration.
- If you DO NOT have a reservation: Please take an envelope located in the box. Complete the information and put you payment information or cash in the envelope. Check the available sites posted beside the box. Please put the envelope through the mail slot in the front door.
Q: How many people can I have on my campsite?
A: Each campsite is limited to 6 people (adults and children.) Our park’s occupancy is set by the state. Come to the office if you want to exceed that number during your stay. We will try to accommodate your needs.
Q: How old must you be to reserve a campsite or cabin?
A: A mature, responsible adult must make the reservation and be staying in the unit. Minimum age to rent a cabin is 21, RV and tent sites is 18.
FAQ ABOUT SITES
Q: What kind of RV sites are available?
A: Stony Ridge KOA has a variety of campsites available for motorhomes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers. We have full hook-up 30/50 amp, pull thru and back-in sites with cable, as well as water and electric 30/50 amp pull thru and back-in sites. There is a dump station available at no charge for registered campers.
Q: Do you have specific sites for tents with utilities?
A: All of our tent sites have raised platforms. Some of the sites has water and electric. The primitive sites have water nearby. The sites are located at the tree lined edges of the park not too far from the bathhouse.
Q: Do you have camping cabins?
A: Stony Ridge has primitive camping cabins. They are log-style cabins with room for four to six people in one or two bedrooms. It’s a short walk to the restrooms and showers. The cabins include full beds and bunk beds. Each cabin has electricity, air conditioner, ceiling light and fan and portable heater for those nippy spring and fall evenings. Additionally, there is a porch and swing, fire ring, outdoor water faucet and charcoal grill. A picnic table sits on a cement patio. There are no bathing or cooking facilities in the cabins.
Q: Can I put my tent or pop-up on a full hook-up site near my friends?
A: We do have both primitive tenting sites (no hookups) and electric and water sites that are located near full hook-up or water and electric campsites (depending upon their campsite location, of course). However, you may request to be placed on a full hook-up campsite, but you will be charged by that campsite’s rate and not by the type of camping unit you’re camping in or which utilities you are actually utilizing.
Q: We have a pop-up with a sink. Are we required to be on a full hook-up campsite to use our sink?
A: We do not require that you use a full hook-up campsite. However,
discharging of gray water (sink or tub waste water)on the ground is illegal in Ohio. If you are not on a full hook-up campsite, you are required to collect and properly dispose of the waste water from your sink. Please use the dump station at no additional charge to dispose of that waste water.
FAQ ABOUT PETS
Q: What is your pet policy?
A: Yes, Stony Ridge KOA is a pet-friendly campground, as long as you abide by the KOA pet policies. Pets are permitted in our rental cabins.
To ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, KOA has established some guidelines.
When You Arrive:
- Good behavior is required. Dogs of any breed that are hostile or aggressive will be asked to leave the campground, along with their owners.
- Use a leash while on the campground. Dogs must be kept on leashes no longer than 6 feet when outside their owners’ vehicles or rental units
- Remember manners. Constant barking bothers other campers. If your pet is too vocal, you may be asked to leave.
Q: Is there an additional charge for my pet?
A: There is no charge for pets at campsites. We do charge an extra cleaning fee for pets in our camping cabins.
Q: I have a service animal. What is the policy for them and will I be charged?
- There is no charge for your helper. Service dogs are always welcome. (Leash and aggressive behavior rules apply.)

Q: Is there a charge for visitors?
A: We welcome your visitors because we know that they will enhance your enjoyment of our park. If you are expecting visitors while you are here, we do request that you register them and pay a modest visitor fee. We expect that they will follow all normal campground rules and leave the campground 30 minutes prior to quiet hours (11:00pm) We must be conscious of occupancy limits set by law and insurance guidelines.
Q: What if I want to have a get together with more than 6 people on a campsite? A: Depending on how many people you would like to invite, you may be asked to rent the pavilion at the prevailing rate or have visitors pay the visitor’s fee. Each visitor must register at the office. Reservations for the pavilion must be made in advance.

A: KOA Care Camps help children who have cancer.
Having cancer shouldn’t mean giving up the joys of childhood. That’s why the KOA Campground Owners Association created the Care Camps Trust — to help children who have cancer enjoy care-free time focusing on fun, friends and activities.
The Care Camps Trust provides financial support to more than 50 special nonprofit camps located throughout the United States and Canada. These facilities are fully-equipped with the necessary medical supplies and volunteer professional staff to care for campers’ cancer-related needs.
Even though staff members volunteer their time and services, expenses for these programs are still quite substantial. Costs include medications, medical equipment, utilities, insurance and transportation, plus those for camping program basics such as meals and recreation equipment
